All your life you hear the phrase, "If you can dream it, you can do it." Motivation is the direction and intensity of sport. This is to motivate us into thinking that we can do anything we want as long as we try. This is not a very accurate statement.
It changes our direction and intensity of effort. Direction of effort refers to whether a person seeks out, approaches, or is attracted to certain situations. A person who believes that if they can dream it, they can do it, they might put their direction of effort in a place they shouldn't. Intensity of effort refers to how much effort a person puts forth in a situation. They might try to put forth too much effort in the new direction. This might end up getting them injured.
"If you can dream it, you can do it."
So, if I dream that I can jump up and do a triple back tuck, that means I can do it? Probably not. You must have a realistic view of motivation. Some things are just not possible for some people. I would never be able to be that. So if you can't do everything you dream, why do people say you can?
Well, I believe it is just a metaphor of some kind. It's just trying to say that many things are possible if you try harder enough. But is everything possible? Most likely not.
